North West Zone registration for the 2026-2027 season will open on July 2nd at 9:00 AM. Early Bird registration pricing will be available until August 3rd, 2026 at midnight.
To help make registration more manageable for families, NWZ will once again offer a payment plan option. Families choosing this option will be required to submit their second payment by August 17th, 2026.
Please note that all registration fees must be paid in full prior to a player participating in NWZ evaluations.
Players with outstanding balances will not be permitted on the ice until payment or communication has been received. For any registration questions, please contact Colette Turenne- NWZ Registrar- registrar@nwzhockey.ca
We have updated our Evaluation Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions document. While many aspects of our evaluation process remain similar to previous years, there are several important updates, including:
- NWZ will be using a new independent evaluation company for this years evaluations.
- Players may receive up to four evaluation skates depending on player movement and evaluation outcomes.
- NWZ will continue to offer both Body Contact and Non-Body Contact streams at the U15 and U18 levels. Criteria for new U15 players must be met, such as previously playing in tier 4 or higher in their final year of U13.
- The new evaluation company will be responsible for assigning players to groups and communicating player movement throughout evaluations.
-
Additional information regarding evaluations, schedules, and player movement will continue to be posted on the NWZ website and emailed to families.
The FAQ section addresses many of the questions we commonly receive regarding evaluations, coaching selection, player drafts, goaltender placement, and registration.
We encourage all families to review the document carefully prior to the start of evaluations. For any evaluation specific questions please email Jean Marie Robert- VP Hockey Operations.
